Works, late 2018, created in Cyprus and Berlin

Two of the works were made in Cyprus. One depicts an ancient Augustinian monastery from 800 A.D.. Mountains rise behind. The vaulted arches and rounded windows face the sea below. The monks performed a function that was not only spiritual. They were also mercenaries and their location between two castles was strategic. The church is called St. Lazarus. Lazarus, according to documentation, was resurrected at the old church and become a priest in 700 A.D.. The tower was added later on in 1700 but fits the feel and style of the original and crowns it well. The skull began as a study. As it progressed, I added colors and collage elements. Lastly but not least I added a bullet hole in the temple. The nude is painted from life with pens and in oil colors.
